What it is
A hyperbaric chamber is a sealed cabin with air pressure above the surrounding atmosphere. ATA means atmospheres absolute. Standard sea-level pressure is 1.0 ATA.
Why it matters
The ATA figure specifies the environment inside the cabin. It helps you compare models beyond their appearance.

Why models list different ATA
What it is
Quietus, Solace, and Atlas each offer 1.3 or 1.5 ATA configurations. Meridian lists 1.3 or 1.4 ATA. Vespers lists 1.5 ATA. Cirrus is 2.0 ATA lying; Nimbus is 2.0 ATA seated.
Why it matters
Soft versus rigid is a choice about cabin construction and logistics. Vespers and Cirrus use stainless steel; Nimbus uses carbon steel and a polycarbonate door.

Choose posture, entry, and setup around your room. Portables arrive for setup per the manufacturer manual. All three rigid models include technician installation.

What it is
At a constant temperature and gas concentration, higher pressure allows more gas to dissolve in liquid. This is Henry’s law.
Why it matters
The physical principle explains why pressure matters. It does not establish a health benefit from a particular chamber.

A broad term. The specific condition matters.
Research context for Chronic inflammation
Ask which diagnosis and outcome a study actually examines. A finding about one condition does not establish a benefit for inflammation generally—or for an Echelon chamber.
Routine recovery and wound care are different questions.

Discuss the procedure, wound status, and care plan with your surgeon. Research involving particular wounds should not be read as a recommendation for routine use before or after surgery.
Clinical use depends on the wound and care setting.
Research context for Wound healing
Clinical hyperbaric wound care involves specific patient selection and medical supervision. It does not establish that an Echelon chamber is suitable or cleared for wound treatment.
Clinical studies examine particular groups and supervised protocols. A study’s findings do not establish that a home chamber provides the same exposure or results.
Results are not uniform across trials. The 2025 HOT-LoCO trial found no significant difference from placebo on its primary physical-function and role-limitation outcomes at 13 weeks. Read findings in the context of the protocol studied.
A study of persistent symptoms after a mild injury does not answer every question about traumatic brain injury. Discuss the evidence and your individual care with a qualified clinician.
